Slanghoek Wine Cellars Mountain Bike Route
Welcome to the pictures Slanghoek Valley. There are many reasons to visit this beautiful valley on the Breedekloof Wine Route. Less than an hour’s drive from Cape Town you’ll find some of the most spectacular scenery in the country in this valley. One of the best ways to enjoy this majestic scenery is to come and do the Slanghoek Mountain Bike route. The route is a 13km ride with an optional 4km loop. On this route you will be cycling through a camp with game while crossing bridges and streams. The main route of 13km are suitable for the whole family while the optional 4km loop is more challenging with great climbs and downhills. This part of the route will be for the more experienced rider.
Slanghoek Cellar are also the host of the annual Mountain to Mountain MTB Classic, which is one of the most authentic and eagerly anticipated events on the local MTB calander.
The Route
The route starts and ends at the beautiful Slanghoek Wine Cellar. This is also the place where you have to register, seeing that registration for this route is compulsory.
Registration
Registration need to be done during the cellars office hours which is Monday – Friday from 08:00 – 17:00 and on Saturdays from 10:00 – 13:00. The registration fee is R20.00 per person and children under the age of 10 years must be accompanied by an adult.
