Top spots in Cape
The Witzenberg region stood out in the recent KFM Best of the Cape competition, with two destinations winning the top spot in their respective categories.
Vindoux Guest Farm and Spa, situated in Tulbagh, was voted best guest house by the radio station’s listeners. The venue offers various forms of accommodation from tree house settings to the more traditional settings.
“We are so honoured and surprised to receive this award. We are a small, family-run business with a fantastic team and it is great to be recognised for all the hard work and love we put into Vindoux Guest Farm and Spa. It has really given us a boost after the tough year and we look forward to what the future holds. Thank you to everyone who voted, our team and to KFM,” said one of the owners, Sophie du Toit.
Matroosberg Nature Reserve, a destination well-known for its snow-covered landscapes during winter, clinched the top spot for the best tourist attraction.
“It’s the most wow feeling our team has ever experienced. The win will certainly have a huge impact on our business. We already saw an incline in our day visitor numbers the day after the announcement. We would like to thank KFM for this initiative. Having something so amazing happens to us, is just unbelievable,” said Didi de Kock, one of the owners at Matroosberg Reserve.
