Car dealer hairdresser tops in anti Covid-19 measures
The Cape Winelands District Municipality ran a competition for SMMEs in the district to promote the implementation of the Covid-19 regulations.
Entrants were required to submit photos showing how they prevented the spread of the virus by adhering to the guidelines for hand sanitation, mask-wearing and social distancing.
Here are the winners who will each receive an advertorial in one of the local newspapers to the value of R5 000.
In the Breede Valley, the team from Goldwagen in Worcester seamlessly integrated the selling of automotive parts with the rules of prevention.
The lucky winner in wondrous Witzenberg is Bronny’s Hair Rescue in Ceres, who will make people feel new despite the strict rules it practises.
“We are very, very excited about our win because it’s not every day something like this happens,” said Jannie Hannekom, co-owner and manager of Goldwagen,
“I was stunned when they informed me I was one of the winners. When the national lockdown was announced I closed my business, and I didn’t even work on the sly.
“I literally cried when they told me I was a winner of the competition,” said Bronwynne Davids, owner of the salon.
