eMalahleni’s Nhlanhla cruises the game on Big Bro Hotshots!

Congratulations to Nhlanhla for winning Head of House for this week! This only means good things for the South African gentleman who automatically became immune from nominations.

Biggie gave the housemates a task to figure out how many jelly beans were in the jar that he had placed outside, in the garden. The jar had 5954 Jelly beans and the five housemates that guessed closest to this number were Nhlanhla, Sheillah, Tayo, Ellah and M’am Bea. The five housemates automatically qualified to participate in the Head of House game.

The general feeling around Nhlanhla’s victory as Head of House was very calm although some of the housemates’ faces communicated otherwise. Could this calmness be interpreted as a general consensus amongst the housemates that they are happy with their new Head of House or are the haters seething in secret? Perhaps karma came too quickly in the faces of Alusa, Frankie, Arthur and Butterphly, who were heard secretly conspiring to nominate Nhlanhla for evictions.

Head of House Nhlanhla this week also advised his fellow Housemate Idris to give a morose Luis some space because everybody needs a moment to themselves in the house.

After the eviction show, the four housemates were heard making plans of how they would put an end to the Hotshot’s life in the house.

Nhlanhla’s win of the Head of House title must have left a bitter taste in the mouth of these housemates that plotted against him. Having been in the Silver team which ultimately lost the Extravaganza, Nhlanhla was up for nominations and was up for possible evictions this coming Sunday. His win of Head of House saved him from this tragedy as he automatically became immune from nominations.

It will be interesting to watch how these housemates will relate to the new Head of House this week as things did not turn out the way they had wished for them to go.

Housemates did not spend much time on talking about their feelings on Nhlanhla winning the title although Sheillah did repeat that she had been hoping to win the title but did not mind the fact that Nhlanhla had won. Tayo expressed that he had thought that he had won the task ahead of Nhlanhla.

Being HOH is quite strenuous and keeping everybody motivated and it’s hard on the sleeping patterns, but so far so good. Just a lot of work.

HOH means running around, complaints, playing middle man – those are the cons.
Being immune is the PRO and also a position of power in a way. People are unsure of how to treat you because they don’t know who is swopped.

By default Sheila is also in a position of power, being called Boss lady and it is fun.
The relationship is going well but it is complex because they are in a game, so they have to remember that.

Biggie asks who is playing who: he says feelings from him are genuine but he hopes she will never use info he has told her in confidence against him and he has to be alert

Is Sheillah intimidating? He says she has been intimidating to some because she is so direct and loud. He tries not to be intimidating to others but he feels instinctively that he is perceived as intimidating and they are a big target as a couple and hope they can have good strategies going forward.

It will also affect who he chooses for the extravaganza and he will think hard how to choose to keep them as safe as possible.
