Land Rover Discovery Sport brings taste of Holiday Adventure

Land Rover’s all-new Discovery Sport might only be going on sale next year, but this Festive Season holidaymakers can be among the first to get a glimpse of the adventurous new model at their destinations.

The Discovery Sport will visit popular holiday destinations around South Africa where visitors can see the striking new model in a variety of settings that illustrate its versatility. From mountain-biking to surfing, everyday adventurers will be able to see how the Discovery Sport can take them to their destinations in style, and with ease.

Equipped with Land Rover’s Terrain Response system the Discovery Sport is endowed with a breadth of all-terrain capability. It boasts approach, departure, and breakover angles of 25, 31, and 21 degrees, respectively – allowing it to tackle tricky inclines, ruts and rocky terrain. And with a wading depth of 600mm it’ll keep going when the going gets wet.

Versatility and comfort are also on the cards. When not tackling slopes, waves, beaches, or freshly-blazed trails, Discovery Sport offers drivers seating space for up to seven passengers.

With a 5+2 seating configuration the luggage compartment can be reconfigured to accommodate either people, cargo, or a combination of both. With power coming from a selection of petrol or diesel engines, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, drivers also have the power of choice when it comes to choosing the Discovery Sport that suits their needs.

Those who do go see the Discovery Sport on location this December will also be able to take advantage of the display’s digital capabilities.
