The Historic Motorcycle Museum, Deneysville
Calling all Bikers and other Petrol Heads to the Vaal!
Motor Cycle enthusiasts and boys (and girls) of all ages will enjoy a visit to the The Historic Motorcycle Museum in the village of Deneysville on the Vaal Dam.
The Historic Motorcycle Museum is a ‘living working’ Museum, displaying “some of the most unique Historic Motorcycles to be found anywhere in the world!” The museum showcases road bikes, racing bikes, classic bikes and more, as long as they are pre 1975, with walls full of posters and info on South African and Rhodesian (who’d now be called Zimbabweans) bike racing champions from the ‘old days’!
The Historic Motorcycle Museum is the first museum in South Africa dedicated to motor-bikes, and hosts regular meetings and events honouring the ‘greats’ and getting local bikers together – young and veteran. There is a restaurant and bikers pub on the premises, and regular ‘breakfast runs’ leave from the Inn.
It is necessary to make a booking to see the museum. Enjoy a virtual tour of the museum and make booking.
Getting there: The Historic Motorcycle Museum is situated at no 17 Lake Street, Deneysville, at the Lake Avenue Guest Lodge.

Do you have a French motorbike called BFG? There is only one in south Africa, because I imported in 1983.
