Searches continue in Durban for over 50 people still missing after the floods.
8,500 residents are displaced and parts of Umlazi and the rest of the metro’s south remain without water.
Ethekwini mayor Mxolisi Kaunda says they’re doing all they can to fix infrastructure so that some sort of comfort and normalcy can be returned to people.
Kaunda said a preliminary report says over R700-million has been lost to the economy due to infrastructure damage.
