Seal Pro – Roof Repair, Coating Products and Procedures

Before:
• Neglected and dangerous, rusted roof
• Leaking roof
• Exposed to risk of further deterioration

The building consisted of two separate 3-bedroom flats. With the roof being in a
neglected state, it was posing a danger to the residents and house contents and it was
unsightly. Roof preparation was done before any repair work could commence.
In excess of 200 screws were replaced. It is imperative to allow enough drying time
after washing so as to ensure that all moisture has evaporated. In addition, ensure that
all areas and surfaces are clean, dry and free of all oil/bitumen. SealPro Fibre Seal
waterproofing was used to fill in the screen gaps. A total of 5 days were spent on the
job – 3 on preparation and 2 on application and completion.

After:
• Old spunfab removed and replacing with FibreSeal membrane
• Removed the bitumen covering the screws and replaced screws, sealing the screws
with SealPro Flex
• SealPro Referro as rust converter primer, allowed to cure
• SealPro Hydroseal applied as waterproof coating.
