Implants: 

Implant could be categorized as axial implants or Zygomatic implants depending on which structures gives the support to hold them tight for example a jaw bone – (upper / lower jaw bone) or cheek bones (Zygomatic Implants). 

• Axial Implants: Relate a long axis of a tooth 

Replacing a single tooth

If one tooth is missing, one implant and crown can replace it, the implant replaces the crown and root without sacrificing the health neighboring teeth. 

Replacing Several Teeth

If several teeth are missing, they can be replace with implant supported bridges. 

Replacing a full set of teeth

Should a full set of teeth (full mouth) they can be replaced with an implant supported full bridge and denture bar. 

• Zygomatic Implants:  

Depending on the outcome of a patients CT scan and diagnostic x-rays, extra-long dental implants in Zygomatic bones may be offered in cases where the amount of bone available in upper jaw insufficient.

These implants are anchored into the cheekbone, providing an alternative to grafting procedures in the upper jaw. 

These implants are longer than ordinary implants. It is used as an alternative to complex bone grafting operations making it possible to carry out surgery in one stage, to fit a fixed resin bridge on the same day as the implants are placed. (“Same day teeth” or “teeth in a day”) 

Patients who need Zygomatic implants have usually lost large amounts of supporting bone. This corrective surgery causes a dramatic difference in appearance due to the correction of “collapsed” and “loss” of facial height that is often present where dentures have been worn for extended periods of time. 

The surgical team consists of a dentist, specialized oral and maxillofacial surgeon and dental technician. 

The insertion is done under general aesthetics. 3D scanning and printing technology is used to produce a precise model replica of upper jaw. The shape and topography of the jaw and cheekbone can be visualized with the utmost accuracy.
