Extended office hours for renewal of licences
The Department of Police, Roads and Transport has extended office hours at some of its licensing offices to accommodate the high frequency of drivers’ licence applications.
This comes after the deadline for the grace period for renewal of licences affected by Covid-19 regulations was further postponed to 15 April by the Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula.
Registering Authorities and Drivers Licensing Testing Stations will be open daily from 07:30 to 18:00 until 14 April. On Saturday 9 April and Sunday 10 April, they will be open from 08:00 to 14:00.
