New beginnings for Vaalnest Boutique Hotel this year
This year will be a true test as far as growth at Vaalnest is concerned. Our new additional rooms have taken shape and accommodation at Vaalnest is set to take off with a bang in 2016. Consider this as a start of many achievements we have lined up this year alone. No exact date has been set with regards to the completion of the new rooms, however as construction continues in the new year, we hope all will be in one peace come the launch of the Vaalnest Spa and Comorant Hall.
Construction has seen progress in major areas in the rooms like bathroom facilities being fitted with operating toilets, shower and bathtubs as well tiling in certain areas. No furniture has been allocated as painting of walls and electrical wiring needs to be in check. However all this was put on hold as the re-zoning for the whole area was needed, approval for Hotel & Conferencing, teambuilding, curio shop and Spa was granted, as such the construction is in its final stages.
Other benefits with the Re- Zoning being approved was that it allows for Vaalnest to shift from trading as a guest house to what is now known as a luxury hotel, additionally we can also trade hence the selling of Vaalnest Spa products to guests that come do any treatments with us. We also sell freshly prepared foods from our restaurant to those that come on a day visit to our premises.
The whole area where the new rooms and the new Conference Centre is allocated has also seen major revamps with regards to accessibility. In fact the whole hotel has been improved for easier accessibility to various areas within the vicinity such as the Restaurant, and Pelican Hall. New stair railing and ramps will make it easy for people with disabilities and the elderly to get in and around any facility and having full access to the various rooms.
Over the years we have seen a demand in accommodation as a whole, thus we have opened our doors to expand to a larger group of people. Our additional rooms are near completion thus this will further cement us in the leisure market as a number one stop accommodation hotel in the outskirts of Gauteng near Vaal Dam.
