Moments Exclusive 2019 – Those who pitch in behind the scenes, Marrakech Guest House
Those in an audience rarely think about costs or sponsors for a show like Moments Exclusive held this last weekend at te Odeion Theatre in Bloemfontein.
The brainchild of one of SA’s best Creative Directors/Producers, Willie Venter, local artists and artist “imported” from Gauteng lit up the Odeion Theatre stage on the 23rd of November bringing a musical extravaganza to the Free State which easily competes with any international production!
But what of those locals who offer there time and energy to the artist that came from afar?
Marrakech Guest House in Bloemfontein opened their rooms to some of the artists from Gauteng and welcomed them and their managers with open arms!
If ever you feel the need to pop over to Morocco, no need to jump on a plane! There is a little piece of Marrakech right on your doorstep!
Owned and managed by Hennie and Charles they have managed to create a Moroccan paradise in the middle of Bloemfontein. Both of them were totally hands on for the duration of the artists stay. Service with a broad smile and breakfast to die for!
Jennifer Jones, one of the Gauteng based artists commented when she walked in at the reception area: “I feel like I’m back in Morocco! My goodness it’s exactly like the house I stayed in when I was performing on contract in Marrakech!”

Some of the other Gauteng based artists who stayed at Marrakech were Sonja Herholdt, Winray Fortuin (On-Que), Ilse-Louise Herholdt (No relation to Sonja), Tobie Jooste and the dancers Nikita & Louis.
