I want to take my music to greater heights eights
Diniso says he fell in love with music from an early age where he used to listen to both local and international artists who were making their mark in the industry.
Local guitarist and vocalist Iva-Nyaniso Diniso, whose stage name is Truth, plans to take his musical journey to another level.
Diniso says he fell in love with music from an early age where he used to listen to both local and international artists who were making their mark in the industry.
“I started out as a self-taught guitarist and when I noticed that i was making progress, I started taking classes from Bheki Khoza, a well-regarded artist.
“I take my craft seriously; I believe that this is because of the support I received from my dad.”
Diniso says the inspiration to play the guitar came from his mother, as she also used to play it.
“I do not have a particular genre of music that I want to make my speciality. I believe in fusing different genres of music in order to come up with a different sound.”
Truth says he sees himself becoming the greatest guitarist to ever come out of the Vaal Triangle.
“I want to become great just like Jimmy Page, Carlos Santana and Jimmy Dludlu.”
Diniso is lucky to have been exposed to various stages by his father Gamakhulu Diniso, renowned playwright, actor and director.
“Parents should support their children’s dreams. If you notice that your child has a certain talent or aspires to become something different, help them work towards that goal and nurture their talents.”
Diniso believes that people from all ages should strive to fulfill their purpose in this lifetime.
