Ever wondered what happened to our Pink Lady?
For those who grew up in the 80’s. Ever wondered what happened to Marloe Scott-Wilson, our famous Pink Lady? Well, she might not be singing so much anymore but she certainly is keeping busy.
Marloe finds herself in the mountains of Haenertsburg in Limpopo Province where she has transferred her vocal creativity to her hands and through a paintbrush. She is raising horses, planting veggies and producing beautiful paintings.
One could say she has retired from singing but still jumps on a stage from time to time to belt out a song or two should an occasion arise.
Her main focus is on her paintings though. She produces beautiful fantasy/psychedelic type portraits and landscapes some of which are bordering on Surrealism.
It is clear she is influenced by the beautiful surroundings and nature of the Magoeba area. Haenertsburg is situated in the midst of forests, mountains, lakes and rivers. A little town which seems to have been caught in time somewhere.
Marloe does not live in the town itself but on top a mountain overlooking the valley in which the town is situated and it is obvious where she gets her inspiration for her paintings.
Just for the record, no, her hair is not pink anymore, neither are the horses, dogs or cats she owns. She has however kept one thing pink… her old Williston Jeep. A reminder that our Pink Lady is still around!
