As we enter a new year, Evaton Mall is excited to introduce you to the Evaton Mall #YouDeserveForUsToServe campaign – a project dear to our management team’s hearts that’s been a long time in the making.
At Evaton Mall, we aim to respect our customers on the highest possible level. Ultimately, our goal is for our community mall to be a leader in world-class customer experiences. But here’s the thing – building good customer service doesn’t happen by accident. It happens by design. Enter the #YouDeserveForUsToServe campaign.
Over the next 12 months, we’re energising and focusing on being the absolute best in customer service, and we want to our local community to be part of this year-long campaign. Of course, we’re spreading the word far and wide, so get excited for the campaign of a lifetime!
We’re making time to train and develop our retail teams to enhance customer service among our local community as well as invest in our tenants. Along with a series of quick customer service training videos, we’ll be inviting mystery shoppers to identify gaps in service and improve the customer experience. The training videos will be based on past and future surveys that we’ve conducted because, yes – we’re that focused on giving our loyal customers what they want and need.

Gold winners:
- Store Manager wins R10,000 in cash and an Apple iPad mini with 20 gigs of data
- Each staff member (provided they have been working at the store for the duration of the campaign) wins R2,000 in cash and a voucher for 10 gigs in data
The ‘Gold Star’ winning team will also get a celebratory staff lunch, compliments of Evaton Mall!
Silver winners:
- Store Manager wins R5,500 in cash and an Apple iPad mini with 10 gigs of data
- Each staff member (provided they have been working at the store for the duration of the campaign) wins R1,500 in cash and a voucher for 5 gigs in data
Bronze winners:
- Store Manager wins R3,500 in cash and an Apple iPad mini with 10 gigs of data
- Each staff member (provided they have been working at the store for the duration of the campaign) wins R1,000 in cash and a voucher for 1 gig in data
So, how will it work? During the mystery shopper process, tenants who receive special mention or score particularly well in a topical area of discussion will be given a public ‘Gold’, ‘Silver’ or ‘Bronze’ Shopping Bag certificate (equivalent to a Gold Star) to be placed at their shopfront. These certificates will also be published in a special mention on our social media platforms as an additional boost.
And that’s not all… Each month, Store Managers of the performing stores that get Shopping Bag certificates will receive R1,000 in cash for leading the way towards next-level customer service!
