Dinner with Jennifer Jones a hit!!!

For the first time in nearly 20 years, Jennifer Jones took to the stage as an independent artist and producer on September the 13th! Finally, a concert entirely set up and produced by herself and her management.

The show was opened by her support act Thabo Hlongwane, well known for his debut with Steve Hofmeyr on the song My Diefie My Duifie. Thabo swooned the audience with classic like Liefling, Funiculi Funicula and many more. A class act in his own right!

After a gourmet dinner SA’s Soul Inspired Diva, Jennifer Jones took to the stage opening with; Let the River Run by Carli Simon going into Tina Turners; Simply the Best.

A highlight of the show was when Jennifer discovered that her parents (who adopted her when she was 25) were sitting in the audience causing her to stop in mid-song and sit flat on the stage. They had secretly come from Phalaborwa to attend Jennifer’s performance.

She was adopted by well known 80’s star, Marloe Scott Wilson (Also known as the Pink Lady) and her husband Fredl.

The moment had some of the audience in tears as Jennifer had not seen her parents for the better part of 5 years and they were treated to a rare performance when Marloe was pulled onto the stage and performed a duet with her! A priceless moment in time!

After composing herself she continued with her set performing some songs from her latest album ReNewed, Be Like You and Floating, a big favourite amongst the guest! The evening continued with the audience clapping along to old favourites; Paradise Road, What a Wonderful World and Wind Beneath my Wings.

Thabo was called back to the stage to perform The Prayer in duet and the audience were rubbing their arms trying to get rid of the goosebumps.

The show ended on a high note with great reviews from all who attended! Excellent food and excellent entertainment!
