This South African-designed and manufactured utility vehicle is made to meet the needs of emerging farmers and rural communities needing reliable transport. Kotonki is specifically designed to be a low-maintenance, low-cost, high-power vehicle. This ground-breaking, All Terrain Utility Vehicle will be a total game-changer for farmers, small holdings, forestry and even golf course maintenance.

The Vision
In June 2019 the partners in this new venture had a vision for an all-new utility vehicle that would be a game-changer for emerging farmers and small holding owners, amongst others.
A vast majority of rural farmers rely on donkeys to do the “heavy lifting”. From this concept, Kontoki was born, a front-propelled vehicle that mimics the traditional methods of a donkey pulling a cart or carrying water.
The name Kotonki is further inspired by the traditional donkey carts we see on many rural farms. In Setswana, a donkey cart is called “Koloi ya tonki” which brought to light the catchy name Kotonki.
