Wide Horizon Hospice extends a most sincere thank you to our players for participating in the Hero’s on the Horizon Golf Day on 24th May, as well as our sponsors who contributed so generously towards a day of fun and laughter for our golfers.

Very Special Thanks to the BNI Anabolic Chapter in Vereeniging (of which Hospice is a member), members purchased 4-balls taking more than half the field to support hospice, and Robbie from Hotpot Paint (BNI) our MC, Amanda from My Beauty Style (BNI) for the loan of a golf cart to assist Hospice and to Irene our Chapter’s President for encouraging members to support hospice.

Neil Martin (Emerald Cassino), who’s wife is a member of BNI, was the “hero of the day”, providing outstanding support at various levels and for bringing in the most 4-balls to assist Hospice to raise the necessary funds. Thank you most sincerely.

We estimate to have made in excess of R45 000, which will be utilized towards the revamp of our in patient unit, that was closed in August last year due to a lack of funds. However, due to receiving daily enquiries for this critical service, the facility will be re-opened at the end of May. The unit will accommodate patients in the terminal phase of illness, as well as to provide care for frail care patients, providing 24 hour palliative nursing care within a comfortable and caring environment.
