Dragons Boat Racing!

Wide Horizon Hospice, in Partnership with The Golden City Dragon Boat Club and Twin River Family Estate, will be holding the 1st Annual Dragon Boat Race in the Vaal District.

The aim of the event is to raise funds to provide care to patients suffering with a life limiting illness in the Vaal District.

The event will take place at the beautiful Twin River Family Estate in Henley on Klip and you can participate by booking a boat (18 paddlers and 1 drummer) at R3,000, or visit us on the day as a spectator or supporter @ an entrance fee of R10 for adults and R5 for children. Bring your picnic basket, your swimming costumes and enjoy a fun-filled day in the spring sun. There will be food on sale at various stalls, as well as through the estate’s kitchen.

Exhibitors are welcome to contact us to advertise and brand their companies at the venue. All sponsors will be recognized through various mediums including media coverage, facebook, our website as well as the community radio station of the Vaal, 90.6 who will be broadcasting from the venue on the day. Benefits for exhibitors include BEE points and a tax exemption.

Wide Horizon Hospice will be partnering with other organisations and all service and non-profit organisations will be given exhibition space at no charge to sell various products to enable them to raise funds.
