It’s the beer born eKasi, brewed for all – now the wait is finally over. Soweto Gold – Superior Golden Lager has arrived in The Vaal and will flow to the rest of Mzansi.

Brewed with true South African pride, the eKasi born beer celebrates a bond that is worth even more than gold: brotherhood. To welcome the lager into The Vaal, Soweto Gold celebrated its launch at Balabozo Tavern on the 8th March with local icons, including soccer superstar and the host of the evening, the legendary Aaron “Mbazo” Mokeona. A true personification of an ekasi icon, Mokoena is the most capped South African player, and the only one to exceed 100 appearances.

A pleasant treat for the attending guest was a surprise visit by local celeb, Grammy Nominated Jennifer Jones and our African Dream lady, Vicky Sampson who happened to be visiting the Vaal from Cape Town.
