50 Shades of Black
Support 50 Shades of Black charity fashion show.
Umhlanga beauty, 23 year old Shelley Buckle, loves making a difference! Taking part and modelling in the upcoming 50 Shades of Black fashion show is especially close to her heart as proceeds will be going to the KwaZulu Natal Blind & Deaf Society.
“Being deaf myself, I can understand the struggles one faces on a daily basis. I believe that having a disability shouldn’t limit you, and that we are just as equal as those who don’t have a disability. Deaf people can do anything but hear, as well as blind people can do anything except see. We don’t let our disabilities define us, but rather use it as an advantage to inspire others”, says Buckle.
Buckle, who is a Multi-Media Designer and Marketing Assistant at a leading clothing company is proud to have a number of beauty titles under her belt, from winning the 2011 Miss Deaf SA, being placed 6th in the Miss Deaf World competition to being the current holder of the Miss Ballito title.
