Zandfliet Wine Estate, Robertson Wine Route, Western Cape

Zandfliet Wine Estate, Robertson Wine Route, Western CapeZandfliet Wine Estate traces its history back to 1838 when farming in the Robertson Valley first began. It has been in the De Wet family since 1867 and is now run by the fourth generation brothers, Paul and Dan. The estate is in a particularly beautiful location on the Cogmans River with the giant Langeberg Mountains as a backdrop.

Although always a wine farm it has also been an ostrich farm in the past and is today also a thoroughbred race-horse stud. But wine is still the family’s passion and the estate is well known for producing an excellent Shiraz as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Colombard and Merlot in the reds and Chenin and Sauvignon Blancs in the whites. The 2011 release of the Zandvliet Le Bistro Unwooded Chardonnay sees the first complete offering under new winemaker, Ettienne Malan.

Wine tasting takes place at the following times:

Monday – Friday: 09h00 – 17h00

Saturday: 10h00 – 14h00
