Upington Golf Course, Green Kalahari, Northern Cape
Right in the middle of the red Kalahari sands, is an 18-hole, par 72, 6076 metre, parklands golf course, watered by the mighty Orange River. Developed by the local municipality in 1946, the clubhouse is still as friendly and visitors are welcome every day. This golf course has a true ‘Kalahari’ look and feel to it with the beautiful contrast of green grass and brown desert.
An additional attraction is the Desert Palace Hotel & Casino Resort development next to the golf course. If you stay over at the Casino, and mention you are going to play a round of golf, you will receive a round voucher at the same fee as a member, which will also entitle you to one free drink at the club.
There is a Pro Shop on site. Clubs and carts are available for hire.

The Upington Golf Club is situated just outside of Upington, on the N14, next to Desert Palace Casino.
