The Cheetah Experience, Bloemfontein

Cheetah Experience is a registered non-profit endangered species breeding centre in Bloemfontein, South Africa. The projects mission is to raise awareness of the vulnerability of South African species and other endangered species through educational experiences, as well as ethically breeding cheetahs in captivity.

It is home to a number of endangered and threatened species, including cheetahs, leopards, male non-breeding lions, servals, caracals, African wildcats, wolves, meerkats and a Siberian tiger. It also takes in rescued animals from the local area, so also has various animals from time to time, including a goat and antelope.

There are a number of educational tours available, offering visitors an amazing opportunity to see their animals up close, take some special photos, and learn how you can join them in the fight to protect these precious species. The tours range from 45 minutes up to 2 hour photography tours. They also offer a range of volunteer packages, including their ‘Volunteer for a Day’ program, all the way up to extended volunteer stays and internship programs.
