Soaring Safaris – Gliding in Bloemfontein
Bloemfontein is famed for clear blue skies, a dry steady climate and endless vistas – and so it is no surprise to find a gliding operation here. Soaring Safaris will take you up over Bloemfontein and beyond or assist with a tailor-made ‘air safari’. The soaring season runs from late October toe late January, when weather conditions are generally conducive to long cross-country flights.
Soaring Safaris also hire gliders to suitably qualified fliers at excellent and very affordable rates, and guide cross country flights.
You can find Soaring Safaris at the New Tempe Airfield in Bainsvlei, 10km from the Bloemfontein City Centre.
