Reading Country Club, Alberton, Gauteng
Reading Golf Course is part of the Reading Country Club situated near Alberton, south of Johannesburg in Gauteng, South Africa. The course was established before the Second World War on particularly challenging ground which had previously been used as a brick yard.
What were once clay pits from the brick making days have been converted into some of the best holes on the course which is now among the top hundred courses in South Africa. The layout is typical tree lined woodlands with kikuyu grass on the fairways and bent grass on the greens.
The course is challenging enough to suit pros as well as the average golfer and its character can best be described as entertaining and straightforward.
The club is well known for its service excellence and your visit is sure to be a memorable one.
