Pure Venom Reptile Park, Shelly Beach, KwaZulu-Natal
Pure Venom Reptile Park, in Shelly Beach on the Hibiscus Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, is the biggest reptile farm in Africa, offering daily guided tours and snake demonstrations which are highly educational and lots of fun. In a beautiful setting on one of the area’s oldest estates, Pure Venom is open 7-days a week to visitors, making for a great and richly rewarding weekend or weekday excursion.
Note that the park’s crocodiles and alligators are fed on Sundays at 12h30. It should be no surprise then that Sunday is the most popular day at the park.
The park has a petting farm for the kids as well as a play area with a jungle gym and swings – well worth a visit for a family outing. The viper family restaurant serves breakfast and light meals.
