There are padstals, and then there is the Pienk Padstal, at the entrance to Kakamas. This is not just an amazing pit stop, where you can cool off under the pink shade netting, sipping an iced cold drink or enjoying some of Annamari’s delicious homemade food, but an artistic delight.
From the moment you arrive here, the tone is set for an experience, so make sure you have your camera ready. At the entrance you are greeted by pink tin donkeys pulling a cart and flanked by a pink sheep. Step into the interior, and the homemade jams, delicious chutneys, baked goods, olives, sweets, dried fruit and local liquors like mampoer and witblits are set in a creative pink setting.
