Pakhuis Pass, Cederberg
The road winds deep into the mountains and offers spectacular views of the weathered sandstone and rock piles that characterise the Cederberg landscape. The crest of the pass, 20-km from Clanwilliam is 922m above sea level and affords incredible views across the landscape all the way into the Karoo.
From Clanwilliam, continue on the R364 to the pass. For a wonderful day trip, especially in flower season, continue on the R364 to the junction with the R27 and turn left to Nieuwoudtville and down Van Rhyns Pass back to the N7, returning to Clanwilliam.
