Sabie is home to the world’s largest man-made forest, making it the ideal location for some of the most spectacular and exhilirating mountain biking in the country.

Sabie is the perfect destination for an offroad cycling holiday and caters for everyone from competitive cyclists to families with budding little cyclists. There are six circular trails that depart from Castle Rock campsite in Sabie. The trails rate from easy to intermediate, depending on distances chosen, which range from 13km to 45km. A cycling holiday in the area is rewarding as cyclists can do a new trail everyday.

The mountain bike trails in Sabie are all on Private Property and cyclists are required to present a day permit for the area, available at R20 from Merry Pebbles resort or Bike Doc in Sabie town. Book a cycling holiday in Sabie.

Getting there: from Gauteng, take the N4 going East into Mpumalanga. Continue along the N4 to Nelspruit. Here, take the R537 going North to Sabie. At Sabie, follow the signs to Merry Pebbles resort and Castle Rock campsite. All trails begin from here.
