Moholoholo Game Farm, Hoedspruit, Limpopo

The Moholoholo Game Farm and Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre near Hoedspruit offers diverse game farm accommodation with game drives, safaris and various educational bush and wildlife experiences for adults and children alike.

Moholoholo is an ideal accommodation option for those looking for an authentic African bush base from which to do day trips into the Kruger Park (Orpen Gate), Sabie, Blyde River Canyon and the many other attractions in the area. The educational programmes offered by Moholoholo for children also make it an ideal option for parents who’d like to do a day trip without the kids in tow!

There are three accommodation options on Moholoho, each separately run and offering their distinct wildlife experiences. The Forest Camp offers ten fully catered and secluded chalets within a forest, with guided walks and evening game drives. The Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is also situated nearby, offering close up experiences with diverse species – an experience of a lifetime, particularly for the young future custodians of our wildlife.

The Mountain View Camp offers twelve self-catering chalets with an option for full catering and beautiful views of the Limpopo Drakensberg Mountains. Mountain View also conducts ‘Junior Wildlife’ education programmes and animal tracking for children.

Ya Mati offers five self-catering chalets with an option for full catering on the banks of the Blyde River. There is also a caravan park, tea garden and chapel at Ya Mati, which does catering for weddings.

Moholoholo also offers a certified 12 day Game Ranger courses on the game farm and including experiences of the Big 5 in neigbouring reserves, and is well known for the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabiltation Centre.

Getting there: From Hoedspruit take the R527 west, taking the exit left for the R531 after 5km. Follow the signs along this road for the various accommodations and camps.
