Lake Eland Game Reserve, Oribi Gorge, Kwazulu-Natal

View of the Oribi Gorge from Lake Eland Game ReserveLake Eland Game Reserve is named in honour of this magnificent African antelope and the symbolism it held towards the ancient San people. Spanning 5000 acres of impressive southern-Natal bush, Lake Eland is the perfect place for a family holiday or romantic getaway.

Offering spectacular views of the Oribi Gorge, the reserve is a place of peace and tranquility. It is a bird lover’s paradise, and birders are likely to see rare and beautiful birds such as the Narina Trogon, Starred Robin, Knysna Woodpecker and the magnificent Crowned Eagle. Of course, Eland are a popular sighting in the reserve but wildebeest, zebra, giraffe and blue duiker are also fine attractions of game here.
