Kamberg Nature Reserve, Rosetta, Midlands Meander

Magnificent scenery at the Kamberg Nature ReserveThe Kamberg Nature Reserve is nestled in the foothills of the Umkhahlamba Drakensberg Park, a World Heritage site. This reserve provides stunning scenery of the mighty Drakensberg towering above, as well as easy access to some of the Drakensberg’s more well-known areas.

The reserve is popular for its trout fishing, as well as self-guided trails into the ‘Little Berg’ range. Be sure not to miss a guided tour to the new Rock Art Centre, which showcases a magnificent collect of historical San paintings, part of what make the Drakensberg a World Heritage Site.

Getting there: From Durban, take the N3 north bound -take the Nottingham Road off ramp. At Nottingham Road take the R103 to Rosetta. At Rosetta turn left onto the Kamberg Road, the Turnoff to Kamberg Camp is approx 31kms from Rosetta. It is well signposted. From the turnoff to Kamberg Camp is 10 kms of dirt road.
