Goose Valley Golf Course, Plettenberg Bay, Garden Route
Goose Valley Golf Course is situated 2Km from Plettenberg Bay in the heart of the Garden Route. The location on the shores of the Keurbooms Lagoon with views of the sea, sand and mountains is truly spectacular.
Goose Valley was originally designed as a nine hole course by Gary Player as part of a property development. It was increased to 18 holes some years ago, again by Gary Player. The fairways weave their way through pristine fynbos and players are rewarded with fresh sea air, views of the Tsitsikamma Mountains and Robberg Peninsula. The course has been ranked as one of the best maintained courses in South Africa – in perfect condition for 12 months of the year.
Goose Valley has hosted the South African Amateur Championships and in 2007 was ranked in the top 30 courses in the country with a “Gold” status for “golfing experience”. Numerous other important events on the Cape calendar have been held at Goose Valley.
Visitors are welcome – Goose Valley is a must for visitors playing the world renowned Garden Route circuit.
