Fly-Fishing in Belfast, Mpumalanga
The Highlands Meander Region of Mpumalanga is renowned for excellent fly-fishing, and arguably nowhere more so than in and around the small town of Belfast. Rainbow Trout and Bass are in abundance and do not require supplementary feeding thanks to the abundance of insect life on the reeded dams or ‘vlies’.
The Belfast Fly-Fishing Association (BFFA) provide information on the 6 well-stocked dams they administer under the slogan ‘The Waters, The Fish, the Best’. Day permits can be obtained.
