Eco Quads, Stanford, Overberg
Quad Biking is the ideal way for those with energy to burn to experience the sights and scents of the beautiful outdoors in Stanford. Dirk of Eco Quads offers trips of 1½ to 2 hours plus, over challenging but very safe off road tracks, meandering through the local vineyards and up the mountain slopes on semi-automatic Suzuki quads. The breath-taking views will have your camera rolling.
If you have never done quad biking before, Eco Quads caters for beginners of any age. The trip starts off with a safety briefing and a practice ride on an open field. The crew will accompany you on the trip, and point out the birds and any other points of interest – you may even spot the odd baboon. Eco Quads is an inexpensive way for the whole family to have fun in the Overberg.
The trip starts and ends at the Sir Robert Stanford Estate, which has Madre’s Kitchen Restaurant. This is the ideal place to replenish the calories spent on the trip. There are also wine sales on the estate, but we suggest you partake in this after the trip!
