De Zalze Golf Course, Stellenbosch, Cape Town

De Zalze Golf Course, Stellenbosch, Cape TownDe Zalze Golf Course, Stellenbosch, Cape Winelands was designed by Peter Matkovich who has made the most of the stunning setting and created a course that places a premium on accuracy. The course has an excellent mix of parkland holes with its main challenges presented in the form of the water features on several holes, as well as the Oak tree lined Blaauwklippen River which winds its way through the Golf Estate and comes into play at various intervals.

De Zalze Golf Course has hosted a number of championship events and together with the Spier resort was the host venue for the 2006 World Amateur Team Championships, which attracted teams from approximately 80 countries around the globe.

After your round of golf you may be tempted to relax on the open scenic terrace and enjoy a delicious meal together with a selection of some fine wines from both Spier Estate and Kleine Zalze Estate. Klein Zalze Estate, situated alongside the golf course, guarantees a first class dining experience at the Terroir Restaurant – but you must book early to get in.

Follow the N2 from Cape Town and take the Strand / Somerset West turn-off. Travel towards Stellenbosch – you will find De Zalze at the third traffic light on your left hand side. Visitors welcome everyday. Find out about Stellenbosch OR Visit De Zalze Golf Course Website.
