Crown Mines Golf Club, Johannesburg, Gauteng – now closed

Crown Mines Golf Course, Johannesburg, Gauteng

Unfortunately, the Crown Mines Golf Club is closed.

Crown Mines Golf Course is situated about 15 minutes from the centre of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. It is one of the oldest courses in South Africa having been established before the First World War in typical mining country.

Since its founding the course has been redesigned by Gary Player and is now a true gem presenting many challenges to golfers of any standard. The course is 6900 m long with water hazards on eleven holes. This parklands course is aesthetically very pleasing with abundant bird life making for a very pleasant round of golf.

The course is in excellent condition. The fairways are planted with kikuyu and the greens with bent grass.

Visitors welcome.
