The CCJ (Country Club Johannesburg) in Woodmead, spreads across 236 hectares and includes 14 dams stocked with many fish varieties and forests inhabited by some 180 species of birds. The natural resources have been blended to create a harmonious balance between nature and urban development.
CCJ Woodmead is home to two superb golf courses: Woodmead and Rocklands, ranked 9 and 59 in South Africa respectively, and has received a five star rating for its overall golfing experience. Both courses complement each other and offer the golfer the choice of two very different golfing experiences

The Rocklands Course is a hidden gem. This course is an underrated masterpiece within the beautiful surroundings of Johannesburg. You won’t find a course with the views quite like this one anywhere in Johannesburg. When playing this course you feel as if you are outside the confines of a city. Extremely well manicured fairways and greens await you, and yet off the back tees a bit of a monster. The younger of the two courses at Country Club is a must for anyone serious about golf.
