Bryanston Golf Course, Sandton, Gauteng
The Bryanston Golf Club is a parkland 18-hole course located in the leafy suburb of Bryanston, Sandton, just north of Johannesburg. Established in 1948 and rated one of the top 40 golf courses in South Africa, the classical elegance of the club sets the scene for a fine golfing experience. The members do much to create and foster the camaraderie and spirit for which the club is well known and respected.
The host of local birdlife and immaculate grooming of the fairways and greens should not distract you from the challenges of this golfing gem. This gently undulating, parkland layout will test your game. Birdies are at a premium and hitting the fairways and the greens is an art to be mastered. The trees are well-spaced but strategically placed and can become troublesome. Water makes its presence felt on almost half the holes, with small ponds and occasional creeks to be negotiated. One will struggle for birdie opportunities.

Directions: Take the William Nicol off- ramp on the (N1) highway (western bypass), travel in an eastern direction towards Sandton on William Nicol (R511). At the third set of traffic lights turn right into Bryanston Drive, cross over Grosvenor Road and you will find the country club on your right hand side.
