Blinkberg Pass, Cederberg
Situated between Prince Alfred’s Hamlet and Wupperthal, the pass offers some of the most spectacular views of the splenderous Cederberg scenery. The pass takes you into an agricultural area, dominated in the west by rocky outcrops and the presence of Sneeukop (2070 metres), the highest mountain in the Cederberg. It’s a must-do on any journey into the Cederberg.
Getting there: take the N7 from Cape Town to Citrusdal. At Citrusdal, turn right onto the R303 and follow the road over the Middelberg Pass to Op die Berg. Here, turn left onto the Blinkberg Pass and follow the road to Wupperthal. If you want to enter the pass from the north, take the N7 past Citrusdal and turn right at the Algeria turn off. Follow the road up the Niewoudt ‘s Pass all the way through Algeria to Sanddrif. Turn right at Sanddrif onto the Blinkberg Pass.
