S’Bosch security get aerial boost
The hard working men and women of the police, law enforcement and security agencies in the Winelands will soon get more help – from the air.
“The Fidelity Security group has 5 helicopters in its air-wing, which are used for a variety of tasks. The helicopter for the Western Cape will amongst other services provide aerial support, to help in responding to any serious incidents in which farmers or residents are affected,” explains Verena Hulme, Cape Town North district manager at Fidelity ADT.
The helicopter will hopefully be permanently based close to Stellenbosch, once approval for a permanent helipad has been obtained from the Civil Aviation Authority.
“The helicopter can be used for reconnaissance, responding to serious incidents and help with the tracking down of criminals who may be on the run. We already have an excellent partnership in place with Stellenbosch Watch, and this helicopter will now add a valuable aerial element to our operations in the area,” says Hulme.
