Heerengracht Primary School wins the inter-school sports

Janice Beckett-Msiza The primary school sports day was held at the extension 9 stadium in Eldorado Park on February 19. With 17 schools from the area participating, Heerengracht Primary School came up on top and we interviewed acting principal Priscilla Smith and sports master Mmulutsi Kubyana about their achievement. Smith shared her excitement by saying:

The primary school sports day was held at the extension 9 stadium in Eldorado Park on February 19. With 17 schools from the area participating, Heerengracht Primary School came up on top and we interviewed acting principal Priscilla Smith and sports master Mmulutsi Kubyana about their achievement.

Smith shared her excitement by saying: “It is a big achievement, especially after Covid, the children, parents and teachers were just so excited.” This achievement comes after two years of not having sports at the schools due to the pandemic.

According to Smith, the sports days were broken over a three-day period. Heerengracht Primary School had their intra-house sports which took place the Wednesday and Thursday, the finals were on the Saturday with the inter-school sports.
