2016 Annual Sign Language Convention
The final day of the three-day Sign Language convention themed “Remain Loyal to Jehovah!” has come to a conclusion.
The free-admission program ran from Friday, 9 September to Sunday, 11 September 2016, the convention had many deaf visitors from Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Western Cape and Free State, as well as some from our neighbouring country Swaziland. The convention program was also streamed to attendees in Durban.
This convention expanded on the theme of loyalty by making use of more than 35 short videos, 2 feature-length videos 49 bible presentations. The convention helped people to develop stronger bonds with friends, family members, and, above all, with God.
Life experiences from the bible accounts of Jesus, Job and Hezekiah were used to help the attendees to draw valuable lessons on maintaining loyalty under different circumstances.
On Friday, 340 were in Midrand, 190 in Durban. The program got off to a jubilant start by way of talks and short videos about Christ Jesus helping the audience learn how Christ set the perfect example as God’s “loyal one”. Added to this was the release of the dramatization of Jesus life available for download on https://www.jw.org/sfs/publications/jw-convention-releases/
