Lathitha Beyile from Soweto nominated for UNICEF and Grey Global Kids Council

14 year old grade 8 learner from Chiawelo in Soweto, Lathitha Beyile is flying the South African flag high. She has been nominated to be a member of the UNICEF and Grey Global Kids Council which is a back to school pro bono campaign, aimed at improving lives of children around the world.
The council comprises of young kids from six countries, across the six continents; South Africa, USA, Netherlands, Brazil, India and Turkey. In September, this little star went to USA for a workshop and to meet with 5 other nominees.
Today Lathitha is flying back to the USA to start preparations for a presentation of her manifesto, at the United States, the presentation will take place on the 20th November 2017 which is has been marked as the Global Children’s day. She is the only nominee from this council who will be presenting her manifesto.
Asking how she felt, her mother Mary Beyile said, “I am so proud of you Lathitha, she never seizes to amaze me, she is an amazing girl who trusts in God, she’s been a star since a very tender age”.
