Amstel Impromptu rooftop party a big hit
2016 has seen Amstel amplify the local music scene like never before. Their #AmstelAmplified campaign has taken SA music lovers’ experiences to the next level – on Saturday Amstel shook up Braamfontein with a two and a half storey high speaker stack.
The event took place at Neighbourgoods Market, the social hub of bustling Braamfontein, where the crowd could control the music at the #AmstelAmplified giant speaker installation by plugging in their personal devices and playing their favourite tracks. This set the tone for the coolest impromptu rooftop party that drew some of the biggest names in the SA cultural and music scene – Andrew Berry, Keneilwe Mothoa, Shelley Mokoena, Iman Mkanazi, Siyabonga Sibeko, Frypan Mfula, The Fuss, DJ Sabby, Maps, Miss Kay and many more all had their chance to plug in their devices and amp up the party. Quality times served by a quality beer.
