Themba Not Euphonic jets off to pursue the Global Music Scene
JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – Powerhouse DJ, producer and entrepreneur Themba bids farewell to South Africa to take over the European summer.
Some of the country’s hottest DJs including DJ Fresh, PH, Spectacular and DJ Naves gathered in the heart of Bryanston at Rockets for a farewell party on the footing of Themba’s European summer tour.
After causing a frenzy in the country regarding his stage name, Themba Nkosi “Euphonik” cleared the air by sharing that he was born Themba and is using it for his Deep house sounds international. Themba was nominated for Best Newcomer DJ at the 2018 DJ Awards alongside Salome, Eli Brown, Mahony, Michael Bibi and eventual winner, Alex Kennon. These annual awards are held in Ibiza at the end of their summer season and are a celebration of electronic music, and aims to recognise and honour DJs, and individuals who have influenced electronic dance music worldwide.
“The sound in South Africa is eclectic. We are a nation that loves to sing and dance which no one can take away. I have been all over the world for business and pleasure but that doesn’t take away the excitement of what I am doing now. Being a firm believer in reinventing yourself and growth; this journey has been an amazing learning curb for me and my career,” said Themba.
