Southbroom

Southbroom is widely regarded as the ‘jewel’ of the South Coast, and it epitomises all that this magnificent area of the country has to offer. Pristine beaches, lush indigenous vegetation and, of course, the warm and relaxing Indian Ocean, combine to make Southbroom the sub-tropical paradise that it is.

Southbroom is a very popular place for both surfers and scuba divers, as the beautiful bay is protected with shark nets, allowing visitors to partake in these activities safely. For those visitors who simply wish to spend their time relaxing and settling in to the coastal lifestyle here, Southbroom is the perfect place to be.

The 35 ha Frederika Nature Reserve and the Southbroom Golf Course, one of the top 100 in South Africa. provide ample open space where development can never take place thus ensuring that the village retains its rural feel. There are two excellent swimming beaches and two tidal pools.

Basic shopping requirement can be taken care of in the village but its proximity to the larger towns of Margate and Port Shepstone will ensure that all needs can be met.
