Charitable Valentine’s Day dinner
You’d be barking mad to miss out on this charitable Valentine’s Day dinner and dance
It’s the season of love, and the best way to celebrate this wonderful time is by showing appreciation for the ones who are always there for us – our four-legged friends. The annual 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue Valentine’s Dinner and Dance is the perfect opportunity to have a great time while supporting some of the most vulnerable animals, and this year, the entertaining event will be held at Fish Eagle Café at Crocworld Conservation Centre on Saturday, 15 February at 6 pm for 6.30 pm.
“The 2020 Valentine’s Dinner and Dance promise to be a wonderful evening of fine dining, great music and good fun,” said Nicky Koekemoer, founder of 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue. “We are so grateful to the ongoing community support which allows us to perform our challenging, often heart-breaking, work and we feel this is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all the successes while continuing the fundraising mission.”
The Valentine’s dinner will consist of an enticing buffet dinner, complete with starters, salads, main course and a pudding selection, all prepared under by the highly-experienced Fish Eagle Café Executive Chef and Manager, Morne van Zyl. The dinner will be followed by an evening of dancing and entertainment, all for a good cause.
The team from 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue visits rural and township areas where they provide medical care, food and shelter for abused or abandoned animals. Funds raised at the event will be put towards the daily costs needed for animal care, as well as the long-term goal of establishing a permanent shelter for these animals.
Commenting on the beneficiaries of the event, Koekemoer said: “There is really no love like that of a rescued animal, and we will continue to make it our life’s mission to rescue as many animals as we can, and show them the love they truly deserve. It is only through public donations that we are able to keep the operation going, and our Valentine’s Dinner and Dance is one of the biggest charitable drives we host throughout the year. We really appreciate all the support and hope to celebrate with lots of community members at the event!”
