EGO Power brings silent at Decorex
EGO POWER BRINGS SILENT, GREEN GARDENING TECHNOLOGY TO DECOREX JOBURG
With Spring fast approaching, visitors to Decorex Joburg – presented by Plascon – will get the chance to find modern landscaping solutions to revitalise their gardens at the innovative EGO Garden of the Future, brought to you by Smith Power Equipment. This unique installation forms part of the 25th #rhythmoflife exhibition programme, taking place at Gallagher Convention Centre from 8 to 12 August.
“We want people to have a fresh start this Spring, and the best way to do that is by adopting cleaner, greener energy. We want home-owners to enjoy bringing new life to their gardens after the harsh Joburg winter and that’s why we’ve introduced a smarter new way to power through gardening and landscaping tasks,” explained Jarryd McDonald, CMO of Smith Power Equipment, distributors of EGO in South Africa. “The new EGO Power range, which will feature at Decorex Joburg, is a completely new brand that we believe will revolutionise the garden and landscaping market.”
One of the most appealing attributes of Ego Power+ machinery is that because its fully battery powered, there is far less noise than conventional petrol equipment. A report issued by the World Health Organisation (WHO) highlighted noise pollution as environmental pollution as well as ‘a threat to public health’. It stated that: “Noise causes or contributes to not only annoyance and sleep disturbance but also heart attacks, learning disabilities and tinnitus.”
“The environmental and health impact of noise pollution is prompting many residential estates, business parks, schools, urban residences and healthcare facilities to seek a noiseless landscaping solution as a way to mitigate this danger,” says Mark Chittenden, General Manager of Ego Power+ South Africa. For the past decade, EGO Power has been researching, developing and perfecting their industry POWER+ machinery which uses ground-breaking technology in its design and function. This includes silent technology that still exhibits the power and performance of the petrol-run technology.
In addition to the noiseless benefits of EGO Power’s cutting-edge green technology, owners will save on fuel-related costs or the hazard of having to store highly-flammable liquids. This – added to the lower maintenance costs – results in long-term financial savings overall. Each item has been carefully designed and engineered by this global organisation which is renowned for delivering professional quality. Ego Power has essentially changed the nature of lawn and garden equipment forever.
Visitors can expect to see demonstrations of EGO Power’s range of self-powered mowers, push mowers, handheld blowers, string trimmers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers and many other landscape-enhancing equipments. The 56V arc lithium designed battery delivers a new level of performance, offering dependable power and the fastest possible re-charge. The batteries are also interchangeable with the entire range of products.
All the EGO Power products are comfortable to use, with impressive run times and fast recharge, giving the consumer the ultimate in convenience. Smith Power Equipment is proud to be the importer and distributor of this powerful brand following a very successful national launch.
Sian Cullingworth, Portfolio Director: Design, Lifestyle and Retail Exhibitions, said EGO Power’s green technology perfectly complemented the Decorex ethos of sustainability. “Decorex is committed to environmentally-sustainable practices and we are promoting these through innovative products and services that will showcase prominently at this year’s exhibition. Visitors to the Garden of the Future feature will find ground-breaking landscaping technology that is easy to use and beneficial for both the consumer and environment.”
